The idea for Seville Golf & Country Club took shape in the early 2000s, as part of the master-planned Seville community in Gilbert, Arizona.
Designed to blend upscale residential living with resort-style amenities, the club quickly became the centerpiece of the neighborhood—a place where golf, recreation, and social connection meet in the heart of the desert.
The 18-hole championship course was designed by renowned golf architect Gary Panks, known for creating layouts that complement Arizona’s natural landscape. Construction began around 2001, with the course officially opening its fairways soon after. The design captures sweeping views of the San Tan Mountains, with rolling terrain, water features, and the club’s signature island-green 17th hole.
By 2004, Seville Golf & Country Club had formally opened as a full private club, offering Members not just golf, but dining, fitness, aquatics, and social amenities that set a new standard for country club living in the East Valley. The clubhouse became the social hub of the community, hosting events, celebrations, and family gatherings that continue today.
Throughout the next decade, Seville grew alongside Gilbert’s transformation into one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. The club expanded its offerings with junior sports programs, swim teams, and family-friendly events, becoming a gathering place for generations of Members. Residential development around the course continued through the late 2010s, adding to the sense of a close-knit, vibrant community.
Now part of the Invited network, Seville Golf & Country Club stands as one of Arizona’s premier private clubs. Its facilities span golf, tennis, pickleball, fitness, aquatics, and a robust calendar of social and family events. The club continues to evolve while honoring its legacy as a place where Members enjoy the best of active living, connection, and comfort in the desert.
Seville earns its place on the LPGA Tour by hosting the inaugural Ford Championship, claimed by Nelly Korda.
